Chelsea S. Blanks is a DC native and bilingual (Spanish) speech-language pathologist, who has worked in DC & Virginia’s early intervention programs for the past 11 years. Chelsea holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech & Hearing Association and is a member of the Special Interest Group (SIG) 14: Cultural & Linguistic Diversity. Chelsea has a true passion for working with infants, toddlers, and their families in their natural environments and communities and providing services as an early interventionist, to establish a developmentally sound foundation for development. Chelsea has a significant background in parent coaching and was certified as a Master Coach with Rush & Shelden in 2016. Chelsea is certified in Hanen It Takes Two To Talk and More Than Words, Level 1 PECS trained, and SOS Approach to Feeding trained. 

 

Additionally, Chelsea believes there is a great reward and learning opportunities in mentorship and has mentored eight clinical fellows, and is an ASHA STEP mentor. Chelsea received her Bachelor of Arts in 2009 & Master of Arts in 2011 in Communicative Sciences & Disorders from Hampton University in Hampton, VA.
